Enrico Baroni, Your Personal Photographer in Rome

An exclusive photo tour in the heart of Rome, for tourists and locals.

Allow me to be your personal photographer for a couple hours: after a good cup of espresso to get to know each other, in this tour we will immerse ourselves in the heart of the Eternal City, walk through its most iconic districts and get lost in its quaintest alleys.

During the whole duration I will take you spontaneous and emotional portraits in front of the most famous and representative monuments of the city, both through natural poses and "stolen" shots, discovering also plenty of less known - hiddem gem spots. The photos can be made for your Instagram or be simple souvenirs of your trip, and even if you have never posed I will guide you step by step to make you feel 100% comfortable.

To enrich the experience, I will tell you some historical and fun facts along the way about the highlights we will encounter. Yes, you can totally sell them as yours to your friends.

Enrico is great. He’s super nice and finds truly amazing picture perfect locations. We went on the tour to get our engagement photos in Rome, and I would definitely recommend him. We can’t wait to see how all the pictures turned out!!

This is the best experience I had during my trip in Rome. I've had photoshoots with other photographers before, but Enrico really went beyond and above my expectations. He is truly passionate about photography and wants to make you feel special. Unlike other photo walks through overly popular attractions, Enrico offers a longer route with more local and hidden spots added. Highly reccommended!

Not a worry in the world. I've developed a solid experience in working with models during my commercial and portrait photoshoots. I'll guide you through the whole process telling you where to look, where to put your hands and so on.

Itinerary 01

Highlights: Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Via dei Coronari, Little Duomo of Milan, Palazzaccio, Tiber river and bridges, Castel Sant'Angelo, St. Peter

The tour starts at the beautiful Pantheon Square, where we'll take the first iconic portraits. Then we will head to Piazza Navona and get in awe in front of its timeless charme, making a few stops on the way over S. Ivo alla Sapienza church (a real hidden gem), and over Reinassance Course, with a beautiful distant view over Sant'Andrea della Valle church. After Piazza Navona, it will be the perfect time to stroll along Via dei Coronari, considered one of the most beautiful and authentic streets of Rome. After some photo stops, we will head towards the Tiber riverside, characterized by a wonderful tree lane. We will reach in no time the so-called "Little Duomo of Milan", my favorite hidden spot of Rome, and the "Palazzaccio".  With another short walk we will stumble upon with the mighty Castel Sant'Angelo, cross the same-named bridge and, finally, we'll conclude with a stroll along Via della Conciliazione and in St Peter square

WHAT'S THE BEST TIME TO MAKE THE TOUR?

[All year round] 7:00 am - 10:00 am -> to beat the crowds and the summer heat. Also Trevi Fountain could be added as first stop, being quite empty at 7am, for a small extra fee. If you're an early bird, starting at sunrise time would be even better.

[Summer] 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm will allow to get the best and smoother light. Also, we'll arrive at St Peter at sunset for beautiful pictures. In other seasons consider 3 hours before sunset (example in december, start at 2:30pm).

MEETING POINT AND LENGTH:

At the fountain in Pantheon square, named Piazza della Rotonda. Length: 3-4 km (2 - 3 miles) in max 3 hours

Itinerary 02

HighlightsColosseum, Roman Forum (Trajan's Market, Caesar's Forum), Monti district, Borgia Staircase, Campidoglio, Piazza Venezia

Our first stop will be Piazza Venezia, a square of unparalleled beauty and richness of history. Here there are countless photo opportunities, which we will discover walking all around it. Then we will move to the nearby Campidoglio square, quite of a hidden gem despite being this close to an absolute highlight. Though, the stairway leading to it and the geometries of the square's floor are sure to remain impressed. Another 100 meters, and we'll reach one of the most beautiful viewpoints over the Roman Forum. After savouring the view for a bit, we'll walk down towards Via dei Fori Imperiali, to take photos in some well and less known corners, with different backdrops of the Roman Forum. Walking along Via dei Fori Imperiali will be a journey of its own. Almost at the end of it, we'll get a first glimpse of the Colosseum, but let's save it for a last bang: it's now time to turn left and dive into the iconic Monti District, boasting some of the quaintest alleys in the city, and the wonderful, ivy-covered Borgia Staircase. After climbing it, we'll reach in a couple minutes a famous plateau just above Colosseum, from which we'll get the finest views (and photos) of this iconic monument. To conclude, we'll get down and make a walk around the Colosseum, to take some close-up shots from below.

WHAT'S THE BEST TIME TO MAKE THE TOUR?

If you want to make a sunset photoshoot at Colosseum, book 3 hours before sunset time! We'll get the most fascinating light possible. Though, mid-day light is especially nice in this particular itinerary, so if it's not July or August (unbearable heat and lack of covers) you can choose a starting time during the day.

MEETING POINT AND LENGTH:

At Piazza Venezia, right in front of the Vittoriano main entrance, at the iron gate. Length: 3 km (2 miles) in max 3 hours

HighlightsTrevi Fountain, Piazza di Pietra, Spanish Steps, Piazza del Popolo, Pincio lookout, Villa Borghese park and a few iconic streets (Via Margutta, Via Condotti, Via del Babuino)

Let's start with a bang, shall we? The tour begins right at Trevi Fountain, which you may have heard of. Though there is usually an unbearable crowd all year round, so the only way to get decent photos (or to enjoy the visit of Trevi at all), is to set the alarm early. We'll need to be there right after sunrise! It will be well worth it. Right near Trevi, there is one wonderful hidden spot of Rome: Piazza di Pietra, with 11 huge, very photogenic, columns of a temple dedicated to Emperor Hadrian. Also Via di Pietra, next to it, is a very charming alley. After this we'll head to the famous Spanish Steps, taking photos from below and over the staircase, leaving the view from the top for the end of the tour, later on. For now we'll venture through some of the most representative streets of Rome, Via dei Condotti, Via del Corso, Via Margutta, Via del Babuino and Via di Ripetta. They seem like a lot of walking, but don't worry, they are all very close to each other. From Via di Ripetta we'll have a first glimpse of Piazza del Popolo, another highlight of Rome but, for some reason, skipped by many. Plenty of photo opportunities await us here, right before ascending to the picture-perfect Pincio viewpoint, overlooking the whole Rome skyline. From here, we'll start a pleasant stroll in Villa Borghese park, discovering some hidden gems such as the Pincio Water Watch and Tempietto di Diana. After a well deserved pause, we can head back to Spanish Steps from above, to take some last beautiful photographs.

Meeting point: Trevi Fountain

Last but not least, an itinerary that has less iconic monuments on the agenda, but that will allow us to immerse into some of the most authentic corners of the city, and beautiful skyline views. The tour starts from the heart of the Jewish Ghetto, right beside Portico d'Ottavia where we will take the first photos. Then we will walk through this less known yet wonderful Rome's district, discovering treasures such as Fontana delle Tartarughe, Via della Reginella and Palazzo Mattei's courtyard, when open. Right after, we will go straight to Teatro Marcello and its forum, probably the most famous stop of the itinerary. After a couple minutes, we'll already be by the river side, admiring a charming leaf-framed view of the Tiberina island, connecting the Jewish Ghetto with Trastevere. To get on the island, we will stroll over the oldest bridge of Rome: Ponte Fabricio, built in 62 B.C. Now we're finally ready to unveil the wonderful alleys of Trastevere, casually walking around and taking memorable pictures of you and your loved ones, before ascending to the Acqua Paola Fountain and the Gianicolo viewpoint, to get a grand last view of the city's skyline.

Meeting point: Via del Portico d'Ottavia 29, in front of "Giggetto" restaurant
