It was a peaceful July morning, high up in the Dolomites. This alpine lake is a real marvel to the eyes, nestled between some of the most famous peaks of Dolomites, like Tre Cime di Lavaredo in the background. No wonder the Dolomites are listed as UNESCO world heritage. The unique color of Lago di Sorapis is given by tiny rock dusts, carried by the waters coming from the generating glacier.

That evening I witnessed an astonishing change in the light and weather conditions: from hopeless rain and fog to a vibrant pink and orange sunset. This photo has been taken in between this transition. Link to the official tourism board: https://www.visitliptov.sk/en/
Catching some day light in the depth of a birchwood forest. This beautiful natural reserve, part of the Tuscia region, is listed in the UNESCO world heritage, and is located in Latium not far from Rome and Viterbo.
